Opticals taps into the visual phenomenon of optical illusions through hand weaving techniques.
The project explores the visual potential of the very basic weaving technique of creating vertical lines. Manipulation of this technique yields to a play with vertical lines as the sole design element. Inspired by op-art, designer’s interpretation of this weaving technique creates a unique experiential quality by generating patterns that engage the user with movement and depth.
The collection offers wall hangings and area rugs.
